About Us
Paradigm Shift is based in Pewaukee, WI at Pewaukee High School. The team was started in 2004 and has been going strong for over twenty years. We have participated in many events within our school district as well as in our community. In the past, we have shown off our robot and our members at school assemblies, our local Homecoming Parade, as well as at our schools Relay for Life celebrations. We also interact with younger students at our local Middle and Elementary schools through having some of our team members mentor our local FLL team (FIRST Lego League) and help them achieve their full potential in Middle School, as well as demonstrating our robot to our elementary schools Lego Club. In doing this, our team works to spark an early interest in science and technology, as well as introduce kids to the option of joining our team once they reach high school. In the past, we also helped our local Boy Scout troops earn their Robotics Merit Badges by hosting clinics every few months, which we are now working to turn into a nonprofit clinic. Our team also participates in mock competitions at Summerfest (the largest music festival in the country) in which over 83,000 people visit each day, as well as Robofest to show off our robot and further broadcast the message of FIRST. This year our team has continued to innovate in both how we created our robots and how we helped develop new skills in our students.
